Went to BACPS meet!
Recently I got lucky and was able to go to the BACPS meet and sale! The event wasn’t HUGE, but there were several vendors there selling plants with a lot of nice options for specimens. As you can see in the title picture I got to see a rarely witnessed mature plant of N. veitchi candy striped. As you can see the pitchers are very colorful and unique. The owner I talked to said he had waited long enough (10 years) so he bought eight of them, all of them now nearly flowering size. I wasn’t able to get a ton of pictures because I was so facinated by everything. The motivation of the veitchi candy striped led me that night to order a N. veitchi k HL striped. Its not a candy striped, but its pretty damn close! I’ll also be getting a candy striped this summer which is in tissue culture currently. Below is a picture of the N. lowii X veitchi X boschiana that I got.
