New Nepenthes: N. X Dormuse

Posted on April 25, 2012 by lance No Comments

Most of the plants have arrived yesterday so now all I have to do is get them potted up…I wil be posting them 1 by 1 as they are potted. First off, Nepenthes X Dormuse , which is a extensive hybrid of [N. (ventricosa x bellii) x dubia]. I was able to look in some older pics and saw what the pitchers looked like. The basic color forms are green with a little bit of red specks (most likely from the ventricosa genes). This plant should prove to be very interesting as it gets older when these “greenish reddish” pitcher forms get bigger and more interesting. I will be posting more pictures of this guy as it picks up growth speed.
