Humidifier for HL chamber
Recently I was able to get a humidifier for my HL chamber to hopefully cool and heal some of the plants that haven’t grown. So far, it has been working wonderfully! The injured N. thorelli X TM ” 8 of clubs” is doing a lot better with two basals shooting up and new growth being noticed in the main shoot. The N. Jamban is also enjoying the morning fog it receives as well. The plant hasn’t stopped mioving since I got it and it is now working on another pitcher despite the unusually hot temperatures for May. Many others are also improving as well scpecially since the fogger is watering the plants… literatly! Once the fog is cooled by the night time temeperatures it drops down onto the plants foliage and drips into the soil. The water also condenses onto the floor below the plants. This is very good news because Nepenthes dont really like the tray water method that much because it can rot their roots. I will be posting many more updates as the plants grow over the next several months. I am going to soon be receiving a rare and hard to grow Nepenthes pervleii. It should be interesting to see how this difficult species reacts to the conditions all the other highlanders love.
